FRANƇAIS

I am Elaine Rudnicki, dancer, yogi, hypnotherapist RTT, mindfulness teacher, yoga therapist,  trauma therapist and relationship coach RLT.

The body and mind in art,  healing and the sacred have been a major feature of my life for as long as I can remember. There are black and white pictures of me standing up in my crib that are blurry because I am doing a baby trance dance. Very young, I experienced what I now recognize as astral travelling. I was a tom boy and tree climbing was not a game but a ritual to attain what I now recognize as a child’s form of samadhi. I had a wild childhood in the Canadian forest and during the long winters I would tell my mother “the wind is calling me” so I could go outside in all kinds of weather. I had a particular fondness for the rain and the snow.

I began dancing at 11 years old with Australian-born Canadian modern dance pioneer Elisabeth Langley, fresh from the Martha Graham studio in New York. By aged 11 and for the next 20 years, I became an assiduous student of the Graham dance technique and creative dance improvisation. I went on to study classical dance and modern dance techniques, acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction from York University and followed my passion to New York City to dance with Merce Cunningham. My life path changed from this encounter and I moved to France in the 1980’s when many artists were fleeing NYC for Europe, a haven for creators where the arts were being supported. In France I learned French and French culture, embracing my French roots and never called North America home again.

Several years later, I decided to take on the material world, acquired a Masters degree in arts management in Paris and travelled the world as Events officer at the United Nations, artistic representative for IMG Artists, project manager with Culture Works which I created to manage international cultural arts projects, and finally as cultural attache at the Canadian Embassy in Paris. Throughout these years I continued to do yoga and meditate. Around 2004 I discover that I could channel healing energy when I studied Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, almost by chance. I went on to study many other body-centered healing modalities: prana healing, thaï yoga massage, ayurvedic marma therapy, healing code, reiki…

The relation between the body and the mind has been a primary source of research and teaching for me and over the years modern science and neuro-science have validated what the ancient traditions have been teaching for 2000 years. I created Yoga Studio Paris for my mind-body practices in 2005 and began teaching the buddhist based MBSR program developed at the Center for Mindfulness by Jon-Kabat Zinn in Paris. I moved to the Pays de la Loire countryside in 2012 and founded Mindful-Corps-Esprit / Mindful Art of Life and put all my teachings on-line and became a coach. My mentors include Tony Robbins, Christy Whitman, Thomas Huebl and Terry Real with whom I am presently working on my advanced certification in Relational Life Therapy. I studied with Marisa Peer in London and in 2018 became a Rapid Transformational Therapist and in 2019 a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Today my core teacher is a yogi in New Zealand named Mark Whitwill, Heart of Yoga – and so in many ways I have come full circle.

After all these years, I can say that if I have understood anything it is that “the body is the cosmos” and “all is given”. The beauty and power of the present moment is experienced now in your body as is your access to creativity, intuition and joy. There is nothing to strive for as the power of the cosmos in receptivity and power is already flowering in and through you.

In my work, I create for my clients a “discipline of freedom” through life-changing interventions and practices - to release past trauma, and create a mind body breath practice that leads inevitably to optimal functional existence, creativity, unity and connection – becoming what I call  a “spiritual engineer” - living, breathing and expressing the power of the loving and wise cosmos in you, in connection, and in unity.

I am a yogi, dancer, yoga therapist, life coach, clinical hypnotherapist, relationship therapist, and mindfulness teacher with 18 years of experience as a coach and therapist.

I believe in the power of your mind to create your reality.

I walk my talk. I have created a life I love - several lives in fact! I have traveled the world and have had mutiple successful professional incarnations: international agent with the United Nations in Geneva, cultural attaché in Paris, post-modern contemporary dancer in New York...

Today, I love helping leaders create financial abundance and relational happiness.

A trained artist, I am passionate about how creativity naturally determines success in life.

My super power is to quickly read your energetic imprint and accurately find the underlying blockage, to bring consciousness to the hidden places that are driving you in destructive ways to allow you to effect radical change, then show you how to upgrade your vibration, focus and structure to transform the possible in your life.

Hypnotherapy & Psychotherapy

I trained in multiple modalities of psychotherapy for four years at the private school of psychotherapy Savoir Psy in Paris.

I completed this training with specific professional training in trauma with Peter Levine, Janine Fisher, Terry Real and Thomas Huebl.

In 2018 I was trained by Marisa Peer in London and certified in Rapid Transformational Therapy, and qualified as a Clinical Hynotherapist. In 2020 I was hired by Marisa Peer's Training School as a mentor for her students training in her method. Today I am an "Ambassador" for Marisa Peer's training.

My ongoing supervision is provided by Mark Whitwell, Terry Real, Marisa Peer and Thomas Huebl, with whom I continue to train.

Coaching & Relational Life Therapy

I hold several professional certifications in life coaching, including Strategic Intervention Coaching from the Tony Robbins / Chloe Madanes School, Law of Attraction Coaching from Christy Whitman, and Presence-based Coaching from Doug Silsbee.

I created EVEIL COACHING® in 2014, a mind-body method for inspired action.

I hold an advanced certification in group mentoring from Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Training Center, USA.

I am trained in Relational Life Therapy, an innovative method of couples therapy from Terrence Real, Relational Life Institute.

I completed advanced training in Intergenerational, Cultural and Collective Trauma with Thomas Huebl, Academy of Inner Science.

Yoga of Heart

Dance, yoga and oriental philosophy were my first life passions. As a professional contemporary dancer in New York, I encountered the teachings of Swami Rami at the Himilayan Institute and when my dance companies began touring France in the 1980s, I began studying yoga seriously at the Sivananda School.

I have studied with many great yogis both from India and and the west and along the way became a certified teacher in Ashtanga and Yin Yoga. I taught at Rasa Yoga Rive-Gauche and in my own yoga studio in Paris for many years. I was certified in Yoga Therapy Phoenix Rising in 2005.

I am not sure when I came across Mark Whitwell's book "The Heart of Yoga" but it must have been around 2004. It was probably because his teacher was T.K.V. Desikachar and I was also studying in this lineage of Professor T. Krishnamacharya. Mark is a New Zealand based yogi and so I did not venture that far so I never actually met him, but his book actually changed my life and influenced how I taught, coached and ultimately set me on a path that I have never wavered from.

Miraculously, and thanks to visio-conférencing, I can work directly with Mark Whitwell now, after so many years since he ignited my understanding of what yoga is and how the yoga of body, breath and relationship allows one to belong authentically as life unfolding in this moment as the cosmos - or as coined by the famous ancient upanishadic phrase "You are That" (Tat Tvam Asi).

In 2008, I completed the MBSR (Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction) professional training with Jon Kabat Zinn and Saki Santorelli in the USA. From 2008 to 2013, I taught the MBSR program in Paris.

When I moved to the Pays de Loire region in 2012, I created the first online MBSR program in French.

I continue to follow the teachings in Tibetan Buddhism of the Venerable Robina Courtin.

I practice yoga every day and meet with the great yoga teacher Mark Whitwell on a regular basis.

I was born in Canada to a French-Canadian mother (Simone) and a Canadian father of Ukrainian origin (Vladimir). I spent most of my childhood up a pine tree in my native Ontario. I started dancing at a young age in search of a challenge in the heart of the quiet city of Ottawa. I moved to New York City, which was the mecca of contemporary dance, and then came to France to dance professionally in the 80s.

I discovered yoga and meditation during a stay at the Himalaya Institute in Pennsylvania in the late 70's, but it wasn't until 1999 that I became a certified Ashtanga yoga teacher, and in 2005 a certified yoga therapist in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy. My interest in the mind-body connection began as a dancer, when I performed demanding hour-long solos, sometimes with a badly sprained ankle.

In 1990, I began working as a cultural attaché for Canada and advocated for the status of artists on the international stage as an international cultural consultant and for children's causes for UNICEF in Geneva as an international event organizer.

Along the way, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with distinction from York University in Toronto, a diploma in French language and civilization from the Sorbonne University in Paris, and a Master's degree in arts management from the University of Paris-Dauphine.

I studied psychopathology, developmental psychology and various psychotherapeutic and psychoanalytic methodologies for four years at Savoir Psy, Paris.

My qualifications in the healing arts are listed at the bottom of the page. My professional affiliations are also listed.

My journey of awakening began at the summit of a pine tree as a child and has never stopped. My multiple areas of interest and expertise lie in the mind-body connection and the complex ways that the mind, emotions, brain and nervous system are connected, communicate with each other and can contribute to us acting like a wounded child or a wise guru.

In recent years, mainstream psychology has discovered the body and how somatic interventions can both heal and transform trauma.

My first love is intimately linked to art and culture; after contemporary dance, I now practice painting, which is an inexhaustible source of learning!

Today, I live in an old farm house surrounded by a forest with a view of the medieval city of Sainte Suzanne, one of the most beautiful villages of France in Mayenne. From my home, I can hear the water of the Erve River gurgling. My relationship with nature that began in Canada continues in the beautiful French countryside.
